What is the benefit of On-demand Video Interviews or Introductions?

On-demand interview videos help to streamline and manage your Talent Acquisition process. Especially during the early stage screening:

1. You do not need to be online or at the same place as your candidate
2. You are no longer faced with the mammoth task of scheduling for interviews with candidates that might not be the right fit for your organisation.
3. You can better screen applications with preliminary questions and gauge responses to form a clearer impression of candidates.

By conducting preliminary interviews via virtual interview recordings, organisations are able to save on travel and accommodation costs while also saving the recruiter’s time to travel to different locations.

If I had 100 candidate video submissions does that mean that I will be charged for 100 credits?

Here at Next-5, we are really nice people and believe in delivering real value. We only charge for videos that you have selected to “Unlock”. Hence, if you decided not to view a video after reading a candidate’s resume, no credits will be deducted from your account.

How long before my credits expire?

Credits have no expiry date. They belong to you as long as you have not utilised them.

Can I reset an On-demand Interview Recording?

Yes. However, only administrators have this right. If the admins finds that there were legitimate reasons given by a candidate, he/she can choose to allow the candidate to do a retake of his/her video interview.

How much does it cost to buy a database of candidate videos from you?

We do not sell our database of candidate videos. If you received a video from a candidate, it must have been either shared directly from the candidate or through applying to your online job application. We value and respect the privacy of both our clients and jobseekers.

Why can’t I just use Skype over your solution?

Virtual interviews or Introductions are pre-recorded by your candidates. This allows flexibility to all parties involved. The candidate can submit their interview when available and it can be reviewed at any time by you and your colleagues. As such, you do not need to be online the same time as your candidate.
It also means that the interview can be replayed and reviewed by anyone you want to share it with.

Why can’t I just use YouTube?

YouTube was made for social sharing and public viewing―It would not be appropriate to have your candidate videos floating around in cyberspace. Interviews are meant to be private and should not be placed on websites such as YouTube.
Additionally, imagine 100 candidates sending you 100 YouTube links!
Another thing to consider: Virtual interviews are structured questions that are answered by your candidates. In a free form, interviews uploaded to sites like YouTube, is hard or even impossible for you to instantly zoom into specific responses that you might like to hear from candidates.

What do I need to install to use your solutions?

There is practically no installation needed to use the Next-5 system. As long as you have a computer, Flash installed (Which comes ready installed with desktops and laptops) and access to the internet, you are already ready to use our platform.
However, we do advice the use of the IE9 or Firefox web browser for an optimal experience.

Wouldn’t candidates prefabricate their responses?

For On-demand Interviews, candidates do not have access to the interview questions prior to participating in an interview recording. Candidates will be given 30 seconds to read a question before their webcam begins recording their responses. Candidates will then click on the “Next” button to progress to the second interview question. There are also no retakes or pauses during an On-demand Interview.
Additionally, you could choose to create multiple interview question sets to reduce the likelihood of question leakage among candidates.
